Inspiration for your Project

"We can do no great things—only small things with great love." – Mother Teresa

Inspiration comes in all forms

It can come from respecting, appreciating or enjoying what others have done, which is why we have personal profiles. Knowing that someone else has done something inspirational, can give us the desire or confidence to act.

Some experiences inspire us to act

Many people want to make art after seeing others make art, whether it is poetry, a garden, music, good food or a lending hand. Visiting projects and attending events is a great way to get or stay inspired.

How will it look?

Sometimes we know what we want to do, but don't know how it will look. That's why we have created a photo gallery of parks, plants, art, walls and park furniture. These photos show all kinds of large and small solutions to interesting challenges, which is what the design of your project will ultimately be: a beautiful solution to a set of interesting challenges. Hopefully our images will help you crystallize your vision or show others what they cannot see.

Inspiring others to act—Leadership

Caring and Kindness are often a core values that inspires others to act. Leadership is sophisticated and applied caring. Part of it comes naturally and other parts must be learned.

If you're going to lead a project that will last for more than a year, we'd recommend you study leadership. It will take some time, but in the long run it will pay off, and not just on your project.

If you have to convince a lot of people to help on a big project, you'll find yourself speaking to groups. An excellent way to practice speaking, which is central to leadership, is by joining a Toastmasters club, an outstanding program dedicated to helping people fulfill their dreams, by getting comfortable and skilled at public speaking.

It is very inexpensive to join your local Toastmasters club, and you'll find fascinating friends with interesting missions. Find your club at: www.toastmasters.org.
