– share the cumulative knowledge of those who have gone before,
– coach those leading or thinking about leading, and
– manage funds for numerous projects so that community effort isn’t wasted setting up and running more nonprofits.
We do a pile of work to be a 501(c)(3) so others don’t need to. That means we accept tax-deductible donations, matching dollars and foundation grants and apply them to a variety of projects.

Urban Sparks is of the people, for the people,
and by the people. So we need your help! Cash helps us keep the lights on, but you can also help us extend our reach by volunteering. We need help ranging from professional services to running errands:
– computer maintenance work
– hosting of house parties; we’ll bring the presentation
– pro bono legal help
– data entry work
– project leadership, it’s our bread and butter
– interviewing and writing volunteer profiles
